Chief Strategy Officer

Rachel holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude, in International Studies and History from the University of California, San Diego (2018) and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law (2021). She has experience working in a variety of legal fields ranging from Human Rights to Criminal Defense. Her passion for international studies, diplomacy, history, and the power of the written word shines through in variety of publications, ranging from academic to literary—fiction and nonfiction. Rachel worked for the San Diego Chapter of the United Nations Association as a historian cataloguing their extensive archives and creating an interactive timeline for digital publication. As a law clerk at the American Bar Association’s Center for Human Rights, Rachel aided in the publication of various articles concerning international law and human rights with thorough research, editing, and cite-checking. While attending law school, Rachel was an editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, writing her own articles and advising the articles of other students. When she’s not editing, writing, drafting contracts, evaluating manuscripts, and managing multiple projects at Pique Publishing, Rachel can be found in her kitchen testing new baklava recipes for her soon-to-launch small business, House of Sukkar.
